Number Bags 1–10: Hands-On Number Sense Activity System

Give young mathematicians a complete, hands-on way to explore numbers with Number Bags 1–10. This early math system brings together 150 engaging activities designed to build number recognition, counting, quantity understanding, and flexible number sense through concrete, pictorial, and abstract experiences. There are around 15 activities per number bag and there are 10 number bags. The system also includes both formative and summative assessments. 

Each number bag can be filled with reusable materials and activities for one focus number, making it easy for children to build, count, represent, trace, compare, and talk about numbers in multiple ways.

The collection is designed around a Concrete–Pictorial–Abstract (CPA) approach, helping children move from touching and building quantities, to seeing visual representations, to recognizing and working with written numerals.

Use Number Bags during math centers, guided math, small groups, intervention, morning tubs, independent practice, or number-of-the-day routines. Teachers can organize materials by number so students have everything they need for focused, repeated practice.
